An EPIC Beef Pot Roast

As I am still discovering the many flavors of EPICURE one of the promises I made to myself, and to you, was to create recipes using these Meal Solutions and Spice Blends that are my own. So here you go, my first true riff on the Beef Stroganoff meal solution pack. This recipe can also be cooked in an Instant Pot or Slow Cooker


3 lb Beef Chuck Roast
1 medium onion, sliced
oil for searing
1 pack EPICURE Beef Stroganoff
1/2 cup dry red or white wine
1 c water
salt and pepper

Set oven to 275 degrees

In a dutch oven heat oil until hot. Salt and pepper roast on all sides, and sear until dark brown. Add onions and brown. Add Stroganoff seasoning to the water and wine. Pour over roast. Place in oven and cook for 3 hours or until roast is fork tender. Enjoy over mashed potatoes, or my favorite, roasted carrots and potatoes.
