Shortcut Stuffed Pork Chops

Shortcut Stuffed Pork Chops. I didn't buy the chops, make the stuffing, cut the pockets and stuff the chops myself, I let Jerry's Food Market in Wyandotte do it for me. Quickly browned and with the sauce basics in the pan, they go into the oven for about 30 minutes and out come tender moist stuffed chops, with gravy ready to eat. To quote a popular network chef "How easy is that?" Enjoy! Serve these with roasted carrots as I did or spoil yourself and make mashed potatoes.

2 Stuffed Pork Chops from your local butcher
2 T. cooking oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 T flour
1/4 c. dry sherry or white wine
1 pkg. dry pork gravy mix
1 1/4 c. water

Oven @ 375 degrees

Combine gravy mix and water, set aside. Heat an oven proof saute pan over medium high heat. Sprinkle the salt, pepper and flour over the chops. Add the oil to the pan and sear the chops until deep golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain excess oil and add the sherry, allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes, then add the gravy. Cover with foil and bake in the oven for 15 minutes. Turn the chops over and cook for another 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to stand for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
