Easy Cinnamon Sticky Buns

Every once in a while I want a gooey, sticky sweet something for breakfast. I was home alone yesterday and decided to play. In the refrigerator was a tube of cinnamon rolls. I was off to the races. The pantry held the rest of my ingredients, and by the time I had finished writing a letter to my son I was eating a pretty tasty creation! Try these someday for breakfast, they are even good reheated the next day. Enjoy!

Cinnamon Walnut Sticky Buns

Oven @ 350 degrees

One Tube Refrigerated Cinnamon Rolls (large rolls, 5 rolls per tube)
4 Tablespoons Butter
1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 cup broken walnut pieces

In a square baking dish (8x8 or 9x9) melt the butter ( I do this in the pan while the oven is preheating). Add the brown sugar and cinnamon and stir to combine. Sprinkle walnuts evenly in the pan. Cut each roll in half and place in the pan on top of the butter mixture (do this so you see the cinnamon side of the roll). Bake for 25-30 minutes until rolls are golden brown and just done. It is better if the rolls are a little on the underdone side, still a little gooey in the middle. Allow to cool in the pan for five minutes then invert onto a serving platter, scraping any extra goo onto the rolls. Soften the glaze until runny, then drizzle onto the rolls. Serve warm. Enjoy!
